1. Our INFORMATION DESK is located the Rig Up. If you have any questions, lost and found concerns, or other needs on Parade Day, please visit us.

2. St. John Ambulance will be at the Parade for any medical emergencies. They wear bright yellow coloured, clearly labeled jackets and work in a team. They will be walking at the end of the Parade and located outside by the School gym entrance before and after the Parade.

3. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary will be driving their vehicles at the beginning and end of the Parade. Please stay within their bounds.

4. Wear a disguise! We don't wanna see your face 'round here so cover up! Come to the Rig Up if you want to create a disguise on the spot!

5. Advertising, promotions, and give-aways are not permitted. Mummers are experts at the art of disguise so there’s no need to reveal who you are.

6. This is a walking parade. Motorized vehicles are not allowed.

Haul on Mudder's sized 42 bra and get your pillow-stuffed arse down to the Mummers Parade! Let's celebrate our culture and keep our traditions alive. All mummers 'llowed in!

Rig Up

1:00 pm to 2:00 pm | The Lantern, 35 Barnes Road

Come get 'rigged up' for the Mummers Parade. Choosing the best mummers disguise is an important part of the tradition. Mix and match a disguise from bins of available clothing. Find the perfect tea cozy hat. Fashion the best lace veil. With endless bins of clothing to choose from and fellow mummers for inspiration, getting the perfect disguise together couldn't be easier!

Mummers Parade

2:00 pm to 2:45 pm | Georgestown

Watching the Parade is great. But being in it is better! Trust us! Find a disguise, find your friends and find your inner mummer! There’s no right or wrong way to dress up. However, concealing your identity well is the mark of an experienced mummer. The Parade takes about 40 minutes to walk with lots of celebrations before and after. Expect surprises!

Scuff 'n' Scoff

2:45 pm to 4:00 pm | The Lantern, 35 Barnes Road

Have a scuff and a scoff with live music, Purity syrup, and cakes & cookies as tasty as Nan's! The Mummers Parade ends with a lively party. Take off your mask and meet your fellow mummers. Get your photo taken in the "Mummeries Forever" photo booth.

THE ART OF DISGUISE

Mummering is the art of disguise. Maybe that's why mummers are also called Guisers (as in...disguisers). So when dressing as a mummer you must hide your identity. Here are a few tips:

1. CHANGE YOUR BODY SHAPE. Stuff a pillow in your pants, make a humpback, wear a travel pillow under your shirt around your neck

2. COVER YOUR FACE! Don't let people see your eyes or your teeth! That's a giveaway! Lace curtains and pillowcases with eye- and mouth-holes are classic covers. Halloween masks work well too.

3. CHANGE YOUR HEIGHT. If you're short, wear a high hat. If you're tall, crouch down when you walk

4. WEAR CLOTHING YOU WOULDN'T NORMALLY WEAR. Crossdressing is a classic look for mummers. Guys, throw on a dress or a bra outside your clothing. Gals, throw on a huntsman jacket. Let's smash those old stereotypes!

5. CHANGE THE WAY YOU WALK AND TALK. The classic mummer speak is to inhale while talking. And the way you walk and dance should change.
