It is played by thumping the stick, and striking its attachments with a "saw"--a notched stick that really gets those bottle-caps rattling!

Come build an ugly stick at one of our two workshops and make mad mummer music at the Mummers Parade.

BYOB: Bring your own boot (or sneaker)!

Workshops are free. Donations are gratefully accepted.

Drop-in based; no registration required.

For ages 7 and older.

There must be one supervising adult for each child under 16 years of age.

Supplies are limited; first-come, first-served.

Check out our videos to see how those ugly sticks look and sound!

parking FOR VICTORIA PARK POOLHOUSE

The main parking lot for Victoria Park is located off of Sudbury Street, just north of the D.F. Barnes parking lot. You can access Sudbury street from either Water Street or Hamilton Avenue.

Once you park, walk the pak trail heading east and down the hill, cross in front of the playground, and to the Poolhouse. It's the only building in  Victoria Park!

You can also park on Water Street, walk up Alexander Street, turn right onto Angel Place and walk to the end of the cul de sac; the building is located up a path to to the right side of the park entrance.
