The ugly stick has played a role in Newfoundland party times throughout the years. It’s about four feet long, on which bottle caps, tin cans, small bells and other noisemakers are attached. Add a boot at the bottom and you're good to go! It is played by thumping the stick, and striking its attachments with a "saw"--a notched stick that really gets those bottle-caps rattling!
Our second workshop will take place Monday, December 7 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Ugly Stick Kits are now unavailable for this workshop. You can still join us online to learn how to make a kit though!
Material kits will include everything you need except a boot or sneaker, hot glue gun and glue sticks, hammer, screwdriver, and any additional decorations you may want to add!
Join us online for your Zoom webinar workshop, and follow facilitator Ryan Davis as he teaches you how to build your very own ugly stick!
This workshop is perfect for the whole family! A supervising adult for each child under 16 years of age is highly recommended.
